Chatelaine (born Joyce Pruneau, September 1953, in Shawinigan, Quebec) is a French Canadian singer.
Her first single "Corps à Corps" was released in 1977, on Amour Records. It was a French disco version of "A Far L'amore Comincia Tu", originally performed by Raffaella Carra. Her first full length album "Châtelaine" was released in 1978 on Amour Records. It featured the singles "Jack and Jill", "I wouldn't give you up" and "Je vis ma vie" (a duet with Goldie Alexander). In 1980, she released her second (and last) full length record, "Chatelaine", produced by famous disco producer Patrick Adams. It featured the singles "Classic" and "Take Me", as well as an electro-disco cover of Sly and the Family Stone's "Stand". A CD collection of her work, called "Corps à corps", was released by Disques Mérite in 2001.

Aretha Franklin is called "The Queen of Soul" and "Lady Soul," nicknames that are a tribute to her regal style and impassioned gospel-tinged vocals. The daughter of Rev. C. L. Franklin, a Detroit gospel singer and clergyman, Aretha began performing on the Midwest gospel music circuit as a youngster and made her first recording when she was 14 years old. Her pop music recording career began when she signed a record deal in 1961 with CBS/Columbia, but her career really took off when she signed with Atlantic Records in 1967. By the end of the 1960s Franklin was at her peak as an artist – with hits including Otis Redding's "Respect", as well as "Chain of Fools" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" – and had become an African-American icon during the era's turbulent battles over civil rights for minorities and women. She sang "God Bless America" at the 1977 inauguration of President Jimmy Carter and continued to perform and record both soul and gospel music into the 21st century. Though her last mainstream hit record was 1985's Freeway Of Love, Franklin's place in music history is secure: she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

Alien 4 is a studio album by the English group Hawkwind. This album is pretty much as you expect from Hawkwind, that means a bunch of excellent spacy hard rock, with '90s ambient experiments, such as the type they've been doing since "Electric Tepee".

A good if not ideal one-disc best-of by the venerable American institution, this set has all the hits (including Greg's solo "Midnight Rider") and studio versions of most of the concert favorites (translation: don't expect the usually epic "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed"). Interestingly, for a band that first made its mark as a contemporary blues band, not much of the material here is blues per se ("Whipping Post" being the obvious exception), so if you're considering buying this you might want to check out the previously available DECADE OF HITS: 1969-1979, another one-disc best-of that gives a more well-rounded view of the band's music.

Guitar duets should all be precious as this one from Bireli Lagrene and Sylvain Luc, as they mutually share musical thoughts, feelings, and honest emotions via a stack of familiar jazz standards. As equally talented players whose virtuosity is not staggeringly overwhelming, these two present a good deal of symmetry and balance, neither dominating the other. Unless you are personally familiar with the stylistic differences of the gypsy driven Lagrene or more contemporary Luc, it's likely their pure sound rather than technique sets them apart...
