Finnish melodic death metallers MYGRAIN will release their third, self-titled album on January 12, 2011 via Spinefarm Records. The CD was recorded atSeawolf Studios in Helsinki with producer Janne Joutsenniemi (SUBURBAN TRIBE, STONE) and was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH, NIGHTINGALE) at Unisound studios in Örebro, Sweden.

‘Revenge In Blood’ is the second album by German band Warcry. In the past the band round singer The Almighty hit the stages as Heiligs Blechle. It is very difficult to pinpoint the band’s style, although there is a clear resemblance. These men make 80’s metal in the broadest sense. During the album you can hear influences from NWOBHM, heavy metal, early black metal and thrash metal.

As James Brown worked with a stable of talented female singers, so he also allied himself with the best and brightest funky men in the business.This disc collects those men and their classic songs in a nice, tight package that rounds up a lot of difficult to find (or even remember) material from his years with the TK label. While the bulk of the disc focuses on the mid- to late-'70s material of Bobby Byrd and the J.B.'s in particular, it hinges around the seminal 1980 "Rap Payback (Where Iz Moses?)"

Olga Tverskaya's fortepiano is a gorgeous instrument, with a rich, wooly bass, a velvety middle, and a ringing top. Fabio Biondi plays with romantic sensibility, fabulous technique, and, in the big Sonata in A major, depth and drama. This music can sound sticky sweet; here it's full of life and dynamism, with flowing lyricism that's irresistible.

Though sometimes dismissed in his native land as little more than a "chanteur de charme" – in other words, "a ladies' singer" – Julien Clerc in fact enjoyed one of the most successful and longest-lived careers in contemporary French pop, shaping the nouvelle chanson aesthetic across a span of decades that began in the shadow of the student rebellions of 1968 and continued well into the following century. Born Paul-Alain LeClerc in Paris on October 4, 1947, he was the product of a wealthy bourgeois family….

A wonderful live set from the great Roscoe Mitchell and his Note Factory ensemble – recorded live in Burghausen in March of 2007 – exploring space with subtlety and quiet sense of purpose in some movements, and a hard charging intensity in others! The opening 26 minute "Far Side/Cards/Far Side" piece is a dynamic, incredible one that showcases the broad capabilities of the group, while "Quintet 2007 A For Eight" is great mix of mood and melody.
