    Wehrmacht is an American Thrash metal/Hardcore Punk band, that was formed in Portland, Oregon in 1985. The group was one of the first underground bands to combine metal and punk influences successfully. Most label Wehrmacht as thrash metal, but they are also commonly seen as a crossover thrash band. Also, Wehrmacht coined the term "speed-core" - and was a true pioneer in the underground metal scene of the 1980s. After releasing two albums on New Renaissance Records, the band split up. These two albums are considered underground classics.
