    For this recent release, I couldn't find any reviews by the "professionals," so I'll give it a go myself:
    After listening to the record a couple of times, I still don't know what to make of it. Whereas previous Tigran Hamasyan albums seemed to be organized around a central theme, his latest effort seems to be a mixed bag without obvious connection between the individual songs. Of course, Tigran remains Tigran - a brilliant pianist who knows how to give every tune his own personal seal.

    This whopping 40-disc set, which sells for very little, contains familiar performances of the major works, and most of them are quite good. As an overview of Dvorak's complete works, this is entirely honorable, and it needs to be viewed whole. Naturally you can do better in individual works, but if you want to know what the composer was all about and don't want to spend a fortune finding out, this is quite a deal.

Performed here by virtuoso pianist Jeffrey Biegel for whom it was written, Millennium Fantasy is based on a folksong that Zwilich’s grandmother sang to her as a child. Images drew its inspiration from a number of paintings held at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., including the Alice Bailly self-portrait reproduced on the cover of this disc.
