The Los Angeles quartet consisting of singer Jay Buchanan, guitarist Scott Holiday, bassist Robin Everhart, and drummer Mike Miley plays in the traditional style, who might have made this album after listening to the first Led Zeppelin LP over and over for a day or two. Songs like the title track and "Gypsy Heart" find Buchanan wailing away in a piercing tenor reminiscent of Robert Plant, while Holiday plays Jimmy Page-like power chords, and even the closing power ballad "Face of Light" is a Zeppelin-esque change of pace. Rival Sons do exhibit some other influences on Pressure & Time (which is their first album for a proper record label following the self-released full-length Before the Fire and an EP called Rival Sons).

Extirpated was formed in 2006 by Alex Roth and Hannes Nystèn under the name "Vaginal Stabwound". Their vision was to play the music of the more brutal kind that they enjoyed playing and listening to. They recorded their first demo, "Gagged" in 2006 which was followed by a second demo "Clitcommander" in 2007.In 2007 Andy Tseung from Mp5K and Vomitous joined the band on vocals.In April 2010, Lars Hansson joined the band as a bass player.Extirpated recorded their first full lenght named "Decomposition & Decay" in Vomitation Studios, and the CD will be released trough Pathologically Explicit Recordings!!!

Frequency is a Death Metal band from Albacete (Spain).They have recorded two demos (Oniric - 2006) and (Prime - 2009) thanks to them they have been playing around Spain in national contest and venues.In 2010 they focused in which would become their first album "Rotten Empire" recorded in Sadman Studios in the first half of 2011. Its 10 songs are full of powerfull rythms and exceptional melodies.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers had already achieved some success with their first two albums, but it was with their third, Damn The Torpedoes, that they really hit it big. Containing such radio staples as "Refugee," "Even The Losers," "Don't Do Me Like That," and "Here Comes My Girl," the 1979 LP in many ways remains the band’s defining work. As the subject of the latest installment of Eagle Rock’s Classic Albums series, Damn The Torpedoes is examined in depth by the musicians and studio technicians who created it as well as by other discerning commentators.

The tracks that make up Straight Life had been sitting in the Blue Note vaults since they were recorded on June 22, 1961, representing the only recorded output that year by Jimmy Smith and his trio of the era, which included guitarist Quentin Warren and drummer Donald Bailey. Somehow these ten songs got lost in the shuffle between the 1960 Blue Note date Crazy! Baby and Smith's leap into the national spotlight with his first Verve release, Bashin', in 1962. The trio swings along on six standards and three originals "Straight Life," "Jimmy's Blues," and two versions of "Minor Fare." Although not in the same league as Midnight Special or Prayer Meetin', it's great to hear this long lost hard bop session from the master of the Hammond B-3.

Liszt wrote the "Consolations" on poems by Saint-Beuve in the year 1849. Compared with other piano pieces by Liszt, these are relatively easy to play, and this had made them accessible to a wider circle of pianists. The first performance of the "Concerto No. 1 in C major" took place on April 2nd 1800 in Vienna, with Beethoven himself as soloist. All Chopin's waltzes are typical of the new piano style he created which was taken up but not continued by Liszt. One can recognise in the "Symphonie Fantastique" a reflection of the heart-stirring experiences which at the time were affecting Berlioz very deeply: his glowing love for the Irish actress Harriet Smithson, who was worshipped by the whole of Paris in 1827 for her performances of Ophelia and Juliet.
