Acherontas have a few releases behind them at this stage, and hark to a melodic, occult and defiantly old school black metal sound. The cover art sums it up well, with its esoteric, ritualistic feel.Musically, fans of underground stalwarts like Rudra, Necromantia, older and probably less vicious Absu, a splash of Desaster and a bit of Loits will find much to savour here. The melodicism of it recalls early Rotting Christ as well (hear ‘Abraxas’) and in general everything is well handled..Vamachara is an album of both powerful black metal that will be recognized by the ears of the traditional listeners, as well as more personal experiments that may at times be confusing and blunt, or they may be interesting sparks off the dragon's breath.

Creating quite a stir with their 2007 debut, this Oregon-based band finally follow it up with Echtra, an album of folk-laden black metal. A must for any and all fans of Viking/pagan/folk metal.

While the packaging on this catalog presentation of Hot Chocolate's first eight recordings for RAK is handsome, it is strangely deceptive. Despite the box with photographic representations of all eight covers, the CDs are actually housed in a single four-disc jewel box. As for the music, there is little to argue with. This box contains brand-spanking-new 24-bit remasters of the RAK catalog – a creative, commercially (as well as critically) successful run of hit singles and albums.

Lady Sings the Blues expands the template of jazz-driven torch songs to embrace soul and '60s pop as well, thus its success at presenting a compilation with depth and variety.

Arno Hintjens (born 21 May 1949), usually referred to as Arno, is a Belgian artist born in Ostend. He was the frontman of the group TC Matic. After the band split in 1986 he went solo. Hintjens sings partly in Dutch, English, French and Ostend dialect. Famous songs include "Oh La La La !", "Putain Putain", "Je Veux Nager", "Jive To The Beat" and "Forget The Cold Sweat".
