Two years after releasing the original Spiritalk, Kevin Eubanks reunites the same group of musicians for another collection of organic fusion compositions. Drummer Marvin "Smitty" Smith, regardless of what one might think of him in general, simply smokes in situations like this. He is absolutely unchained, playing with the energy (and seemingly the limbs) of two or more men. Smith and Eubanks interact like McLaughlin and Cobham, or Morse and Morgenstein.
Alvin Lee (born Graham Barnes, 19 December 1944, Nottingham, England) is an English rock guitarist and singer. He began playing guitar at the age of 13, and with Leo Lyons formed the core of the band Ten Years After in 1960. Influenced by his parents' collection of jazz and blues records, it was the advent of rock and roll that sparked his interest, and guitarists such as Chuck Berry and Scotty Moore provided his inspiration.

This internationally known string quartet has been in existence since the early '50s. The original performers (Eli Goren, James Barton, Patrick Ireland, and William Pleeth) created the group in order to play the best of Classical and Romantic quartet literature. This tradition of the grand style has been keep alive by Peter Carter, violin (a member for 25 years); Rafael Todes, violin; Dorothea Vogel, viola; and Pal Benda, violoncello. The quartet's intensive examination and rehearsals of traditional works has resulted in unique interpretations that reveal detailed characteristics and previously unheard possibilities of these musical masterpieces.
