This is everything it ought to be. This high-test modern jazz trio taped a 1998 gig at Amsterdam's Bimhuis, and the members were happy enough with the results to release a double CD containing both sets in their entirety. Only a good jazz group could get away with something like this; so fear not, the Schlippenbach Trio is not just good, it is great.

By the End of the Sixties Psychedelia was Pretty Much a Spent Force. Bands were Looking for Something Simpler and More Earthy. Crosby, Stills and Nash Had Gone all Acoustic and Harmonious, the Band Had Achieved a Return to Classic Americana, and James Taylor was Showing the World You Could Be Laid Back and Hip at the Same Time. However, Not Everyone Wanted to Ditch their Fuzzboxes. Inspired by Such Outfits as Cream, Blue Cheer, Hendrix and the Nascent Led Zeppelin, These American Bands were Moving Out of Psych Into Something Less Cosmic and Far Heavier….

Intelligent, thought-provoking and always pushing the boundaries of metal music, Metallica have remained at the top of their game whilst others groups have fallen by the wayside. Nevertheless, the band's dynamic has changed drastically since they first came together in 1982, with them working their way through numerous bassists and even continuing after the tragic death of band member Cliff Burton.

1997 reissue on Repertoire of the British folk rocker's 1970 album, originally released on Harvest & featuring 'PostcardsOf Scarborough'. Guests include Mick Ronson, Barry Morganand, Rick Kemp. 11 tracks total.

After taking a decade-and-a-half vacation from live performance, septuagenarian singer/songwriter/saint Leonard Cohen returned to the stage in 2008 for a European tour. During his absence, his popularity had grown to such a degree that his London concert took place at the city's O2 Arena. With the gathered masses sounding suitably enraptured, Cohen can be heard delivering a long program that serves as both career summary and mission reiteration on this double-length live album.
