The third installment in the series, 100 Greatest Film Themes, Take 3 gathers together a sprawling collection of film music into a six-disc set. Spanning from 1930 to 2012, the set features themes from films ranging from classics like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Apocalypse Now, and Star Wars: A New Hope to more contemporary movies like The Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, making for an expansive and eclectic collection. This wide and extremely varied collection provides the perfect overview of a musical genre that can both delight and educate on a journey through cinematic history.
Of note, this collection does contain re-recorded versions of these songs, so anyone looking for original recordings would be better served by going to the original soundtracks.

Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitar), Jamie Cook (rhythm/lead guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals). Former member Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, backing vocals) left the band in 2006 shortly after their debut album was released.

Pierre Moerlen's band released very few albums in the '80s. Breakthrough, recorded in 1986, is a disappointing, bland project that bears little resemblance to any previous incarnation of Gong. Aside from bassist Hansford Rowe, who struggles to be heard on this recording, the group is comprised of entirely new personnel, including Dag Westling, who is credited for acoustic guitar, although such an instrument fails to surface in the mix.

Nine Muses, sometimes stylized as 9MUSES, is a nine member South Korean girl group under the Star Empire Entertainment music label. The group debuted in 2010 with the single "No Playboy" and a first single album, Let's Have a Party.

For fans of Woolly Wolstenholme, this set will require little introduction or description. For those less familiar with the in and outs of the former Barclay James Harvest keyboardist's musical career, a bit of background is in order. In 1979, Wolstenholme quit BJM and embarked on a solo career, launched the following year with his excellent Maestoso album. A second album was planned but it was shelved, and the keyboardist decided to remove himself from the music world.
