Kevin Seddiki was born in France in 1981. He is mainly known as a guitar player, but also composes, and play Iranian drum called Zarb, or Tombak. He studied classical guitar with Pablo Marquez, but always has been intersted in improvisation, and very different music styles. His curiosity and versatility lead him to various collaborations with reknowned masters from different areas, from classical to Jazz, and experiences with traditionnal music from Argentina, Greece, Iran or Madagascar.

Dionne Warwick's career was revived when she teamed with Barry Manilow on this 1979 LP. Manilow's production of such heavily orchestrated numbers as "I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again" put Warwick back in the spotlight, as she once again sounded confident and compelling.

Howard Shelley is acclaimed as the living master of early Romantic piano music. So much of this music was ignored throughout the twentieth century that there is still a sense of discovery at each new recording. Shelley here presents the first instalment of a six-volume set of Mendelssohn’s complete solo piano music—perhaps the least well-known part of the composer’s repertoire.

Piano music is central to Valentin Silvestrov’s output. With its frequent allusions to lingering recollections of the past, this programme presents an overview of various creative periods. It begins with the composer’s reworkings of youthful sketches (Naive Musik), followed by Der Bote (The Messenger) with its beautiful Mozartian theme leading into a sonatina in the style of the 18th century. After recent works from Silvestrov’s self–defined ‘Bagatelle’ period, the recording concludes with the striking Kitschmusik, which engages with the music of Schumann, Chopin and Brahms. The Two Waltzes are dedicated to Elisaveta Blumina.

Tony Bennett's career has enjoyed three distinct phases, each of them very successful. In the early '50s, he scored a series of major hits that made him one of the most popular recording artists of the time. In the early '60s, he mounted a comeback as more of an adult-album seller. And from the mid-'80s on, he achieved renewed popularity with generations of listeners who hadn't been born when he first appeared.

Lee Ji-eun (born May 16, 1993), better known by her stage name IU, is a South Korean singer and actress. Her stage name is derived from the phrase "I and You", symbolizing that we can become one through music. Her fan club name is U-ana (Uaena), where each syllable has a different meaning: "you" is from English, "ae" is Sino-Korean for "love", and "na" is Korean for "me". In 2012, IU ranked #19 on "The 23rd Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces."

…Both Banchini and Bovi deliver exceptionally refined performances throughout the album. Bovi's voice is pure, elegant, and perfectly suited for music of this time. Banchini's tone on the Baroque violin is, appropriately, every bit as vocal and singing as the soprano arias. Taken all together, this album is much more than an ordinary CD that is popped in the player and listened to from beginning to end, but rather, an all-encompassing experience that truly transports listeners to another place and time. Unconditionally recommended.
