6 years after the first volume of Peace Therapy, Dj Zen has now compiled the third volume with lots of love and passion so that you may travel far away into the non physical musical world that surrounds it. A CD that should not be passed on under no pretense as it has been conceived for those of you who love warm and flowing, profound and colorful ambient. This third volume will certainly become a long-standing pillar as it gives a perfect representation of the most beautiful musical moments on chillout dancefloors.
Gloomy atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Mysteries of witchcraft and tragedy of witch hunt. Deep dark sound of traditional electronic music.
Every Song Tells A Story is sort of Randy Bachman unplugged. But there's nothing acoustic about Bachman's oeuvre. Even in these subdued renditions these songs rock. The video was compiled from two shows Randy and his band played in Vancouver last April. I had an opportunity to attend, but was on the opposite side of the country. The people who did attend look like they had a great time. The show starts with Bachman's last hit. Recorded originally in two versions with Neil Young on guitar and vocals, 'Prairie Town' is a history of Bachman, the Guess Who, Neil & the Squires, and the development of a rock scene in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Teresa Brewer (7 May 1931 – 17 October 2007) was an American pop singer whose style incorporated elements of country, jazz, R&B, musicals and novelty songs. She was one of the most prolific and popular female singers of the 1950s, recording nearly 600 songs…
…These 17 hymns and chants, dating from the 14th through the early-18th centuries, are sung in Greek, Romanian, Latin, and Italian, and are beautiful examples of early vocal music, sung as closely as possible to the way they were historically. The beauty of these pieces is powerful and striking, and the growing complexity of the melodies as the pieces move chronologically through the centuries is fascinating to follow…
In an effort to get united, people build cities, which tend to swell further. However, at some point, a human becomes insignificant before the image of the megalopolis, that is no longer in need of its creators. Massive shadows of buildings, competing in height, sink streets into darkness. Endless miles of roads entangle the ground. Monumental mansions, restaurants, parking lots and bus stops, once were serving the people, turn out extraneous and wasted. Dust sweeps abandoned neighborhoods gradually. Cities, affected by desolation, appear to be the cradle of the strange and ominous structures woven out of chaos.
Album performed by the jazz Spanish pianist and composer Tete Montoliu as a compilation of works performed in separate recording sessions held at the Casino de L'Aliança of Poblenou (Barcelona –Spain-): the first in August 1973 -which were recorded in the first 4 tracks on the CD as a medley-, and the second in May 1977 -which was recorded in the fifth issue-. Montoliu was accompanied in the first medley by Manuel Elias on bass, Peer Wyboris on drums and Rogelio Juarez on congas and the last track (second session) by the bass Alberto Moraleda, Miguel Angel Lizandra going on drums and Peter Day playing the congas.
