This amazing album was recorded in a single December 1969 session (with noted CSNY producer Bill Halverson) and released in February 1970 by Atco Records. All the musicians from that band had worked previously with drummer Dewey Martin in his New Buffalo Springfield and the similarities with Stills/Young original group are very evident here. The LP features a stash of eclectic and very diverse material, impressive multiple vocal harmonies and the Springfield's trademark three-guitar assault - with plenty of fuzz! This band can be ethereal and dreamy or genuinely heavy. In other words it’s an astonishing mixture of West Coast rock and heavier, UK-influenced riff-rock, in addition devoid of any weak tracks! This carefully remastered edition has been expanded with one track from rare single.

It may be hard to believe, but this is the CD premiere of this little-known, underrated, but quite important 5th release from such an amazing British progressive band! it was recorded in February 1974 (a whole year after violinist Dave Arbus departure, and now with Jo O'Donnell from Irish folk-rock band Mushroom on board) but released a whole year later by German Harvest label in striking, nude cover. Without a doubt it deserves for recognition. The band has offered a varied and well-arranged progressive-jazz-blues-rock songs stylistically similar to some of the tracks from the previous two albums (from 1971), but done in somewhat simpler and more consistent form. This CD has been expanded with many rare & unreleased live tracks!

If you remember the late 70's early 80's then you know the exciting music that was hitting the Night Clubs and Discotheques. Overall it was a good time, will go back to check it out again.

Originally called Screamer, German punk band Slime were formed in 1979 around the core lineup of singer/guitar player Elf (Michael Mayer), bassist Eddi Räther, drummer Ball (Peter Wodok), and lead singer Dirk Jora. Second guitarist Christian Mevs arrived in 1980 and Ball was replaced by Stephan Mahler in 1981. The band is often cited as the definitive "deutschpunk" act, combining the politically charged and anarchist sentiments of the era with the raw aggression of the mid-'70s British punk movement. The band released numerous albums between 1979 and 1994, eventually splintering into Rubberslime, with Elf being the only original member.

Described as traditional doom metal on their last fm page, Magic Circle take the genre to another level with tasty riffs and vocals that nod to a timeless band who most likely started it. That's right, Black. Fucking. Sabbath. And their singer even sounds like Ozzy.

Band On The Run was released three short years after the Beatles' split and would become one of the biggest selling albums of Sir Paul's entire solo career. Collectors will be especially thrilled by the 4 disc (3CD, 1 DVD) deluxe edition which adds an extraordinary 120-page hard bound book containing many unseen and unpublished photos by Linda McCartney and Clive Arrowsmith, album and single artwork, a full history of the album complete with a new interview with Paul and expanded track by track information for all four discs.

The Beijing-born guitarist Xuefei Yang has recorded her first album of baroque music, an all-Bach programme anchored by three concertos newly arranged for guitar and string quartet. Bach Concertos is an exciting, innovative album in which she has transcribed for the guitar some of Bach’s familiar violin concertos and other works, hoping to establish these new arrangements as noteworthy repertoire for the guitar and to expand the concerto repertoire for that instrument. Xuefei complements the concertante repertoire with solo guitar arrangements of the Violin Sonata No. 1 BWV 1001, the Prelude in C Major from the Well-Tempered Clavier BWV 846 and the Air on a G string from the Orchestral Suite in D major BWV 1068.

Claudio Abbado and his hand-picked Orchestra Mozart have become famous for their exceptional recordings of music by their namesake, but to assume every work in their repertoire has a Koechel number attached to it would be a mistake. For this 2012 release, it demonstrates a great aptitude for the violin concertos of Ludwig van Beethoven and Alban Berg, and the playing is every bit as convincing as the treatment of Mozart's oeuvre.
