A belated follow-up to bass clarinettist Thomas Savy’s earlier album Archipel with the same line-up released by the Nocturne label eight years ago it’s an immersive listen with the emphasis firmly on highly structured broadly thematic compositions with an ultimately sunny disposition that allow the players to stretch out. With guitarist Michael Felberbaum, who takes a peach of a solo on the third track ‘Archipel Bleu’, pianist/Rhodes player Pierre de Bethmann the first input we hear at the beginning of the brooding ‘No Time, No Time’, bassist Stéphane Kerecki, and drummer Karl Jannuska there’s plenty going on here with lively tempi, strong interpretative resource on Savy’s part (roughly in the Klaus Gesing domain) on a selection of compositions that include Savy’s own tunes.

Honeysuckle Rose / Aquarela Do Brasil is a 1969 bossa nova-style jazz album by Elis Regina and Toots Thielemans on the Fontana Special sublabel of Philips Records. Release number is 6424 088. It features the Elis Cinque quintet, in a lineup with Toots Thielemans (guitar and harmonica), Elis Regina (vocals), Antonio Adolfo (piano), Roberto Menescal (guitar) and Wilson das Neves (percussion).

"Tubular Bells" is the debut album of English musician Mike Oldfield, released in 1973. It was the first album released by Virgin Records and an early cornerstone of the company's success.

"Legend" is a soundtrack album released in 1986 by Tangerine Dream for the North American theatrical version of the film "Legend", issued a year earlier in Europe. The film was written by William Hjortsberg, produced by Arnon Milchan, directed by Ridley Scott and released domestically by Universal Studios.

This recording contains the Missa Puisque je vis, almost certainly by Dufay, and Compère’s Omnium bonorum plena written in praise of the Virgin Mary, as well as motets by Dufay and other sources, all of which help colour our increasing awareness of the florid richness and emotional devotion of music before Baroque, till recently the starting point of most people’s awareness of the art. Characteristics of Dufay are his intricate workmanship and the development of independent balance among the vocal parts that lead us naturally to the satisfying clarity which has itself given old music a strangely contemporary feel.

The “Claudio Monteverdi Choir” of Crema was founded in 1986 by Bruno Gini; its members, for the most part, are young musicians. In April 2007, the choir was invited to sing at Canterbury Cathedral. Cavalli is an early-Baroque master who provides an operatic link between Monteverdi and Handel.

UK progressive rock legends CURVED AIR, featuring iconic vocalist Sonja Kristina, have released a new CD, North Star. North Star is the band's first album featuring new studio material since 1976. The full-length CD features a mixture of re-recordings, cover songs and seven new original compositions, all housed in a lavish digi-pack.

Yevgeny Svetlanov died on 3 May 2002. This outstanding Russian conductor, master of an enormous repertoire, had built up an especially fruitful relationship with the two Radio France orchestras in the last few years of his life. Hence it is only natural that Radio France, with the fourth title of its new series, should wish to pay tribute to this key figure of the Russian school of conducting.
