In 1981 Level 42 released their first Polydor single, "Love Games", which became a Top 40 hit. They then cut their critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album, which was an immediate success throughout Europe. The band quickly established themselves as concert favourites, taking advantage of the high performance skills of all four members.

Most famous for being the band of ex-Purple bassist Nicky Simper, this group also had in members Ashley Holt on vocals, Mac Poole on drums, Frank Wilson on kbs and respectively Ged Peck and Pete Parker on guitars on their first and second albums. Their first album is very much in the mould of Deep Purple in between the Mk1 and Mk2 sound. Both their albums are quite fine in quality and should please most progheads into the 70's. It is interesting to make a parallel between Warhorse and Captain Beyond as that band had the other ex-Purple frontman Rod Evans, and they also developed an harder edged sound than that of Mk1 Purple, one of the reasons Ritchie Blackmore sacked the two unlucky boys.

Currents Across the Time was recorded in November, 2010 as the second concert on the radio StreamerP2P. Estimated audience was no more than five persons. The announcement was planned extremely poorly, and no one really could listen to it. Now, as before with Moon Events, this deep and holistic release can be heard by a wider audience. As a bonus, the album presents the new track The Dream of Spheres, which took part on the competition GENERATION.torrent 4 in November, 2011.

Originally schooled in the foundations of hard bop, cornetist Rob Mazurek, quickly surpassed the form's conventional limitations; his multihued electro-acoustic work over the past two decades has subsequently drawn inspiration from numerous genres besides jazz. Mazurek's unfettered creativity and stalwart leadership skills have thereby cemented his reputation as a key figure in the Chicago scene—primarily as organizer of the venerable Chicago Underground Collective and several other innovative ensembles including Exploding Star Orchestra, São Paulo Underground and Starlicker.

I was definitely not prepared for the utter charm and simplicity of these wonderful songs, grouped together on disc for the first time. Lortzing's melodies are easy on the ear and the Neue Detmolder Liedertafel are a crack group of singers, injecting their own characteristic charm into the music. (…) You can't really put a plug on this one, listening over and over again always increases the enjoyment. Just go ahead and buy it!

Roger Whittaker is an Anglo-Kenyan songwriter and singer with great baritone voice and a trademark whistling ability. His worldwide sales are over 55 million. He became very popular at the 70's with hits like "New world in the morning", "Durham Town", "I don't believe in if anymore" and especially with the million seller song "The Last Farewell" that hit the Billboard hot 100 in 1975. He is an excellent guitar player and has many singing styles. This nice 3CD collection includes all the great Whittaker hits and many more popular tunes, that the talented artist interprets with his unique way. Also some whistling instrumentals. Enjoy a delightful album in lossless.
