Album released in Spain dedicated to one of the most famous folk choirs pioneers and raised in the 80's under the fraternities that make annual pilgrimage to Rocio, the 'Coro Rociero de la Hermandad de Coria'. By structuring the vocal and choral singing of these issues, usually offered in these groups, the CD offers here a repertoire of 3 flamenco 'rumba' and 4 'sevillana' to enjoy these popular flamenco songs.
Album performed by the American singer Rosemary Clooney (Kentucky, 1928-2002) who plays a selected repertoire of classic Brazilian music. The album is dedicated to Antonio Carlos Jobim, Frank Sinatra and Nelson Riddle, three men returning the feelings that Rosemary felt when she played that music, and those who have shared their work in this tribute, John Pizzarelli, who accompanies her on various issues both with his voice and with his guitar (hear the instrumental theme of samba Orpheus 'Sweet Happy Life') -, Diana Krall, with her voice and piano in 'Boy from Ipanema'-, Oscar Castro-Neves –vocalist in 'I concentrate on you'- and John Oddo -producer, director, pianist and arranger of most issues-.
Lowered to underground to the violet depths you'll hear the majestic music of cave. Highly melodic stuff (sequences included).
Sound of canyon in two parts. Dense textures and minimal variation.
Tranquil sky ambience. Meditative and calm space work. Green dream music like the color of emeralds in the sun.
Logical Riddle group recorded their debut album Evolution. The album was written over five years, and his name was chosen on purpose. Evolution - is the development of the group and its music and lyrics over time. Each new song is more complex in structure, and in the text raises interesting new questions and serious themes. The music itself, despite the sometimes "break" the size and peculiar to developing progressive composition, does not lose its melody and atmosphere.
You’ve come to love ROME’s concept collages, shedding new light on the realities of the world and its history, whilst giving a voice to the downtrodden. „Hell Money“ is –yet again– different. „Hell Money“ is an emotional tour-de-force through the twisted inner workings of a tormented individual. A journey into a heart of sadness, where greed, addiction and self-immolation have taken their toll on sanity. The songs remain fragmentary and crude. The voice on this album is not the voice of reason, it is an individual unashamed, yet deeply tormented by the demons that have come to haunt it. The music is built primarily by an anger-driven acoustic guitar and a voice bereft of poetic hipness. No martial drums, no retro-sampling, but drums and sampling nonetheless. „Hell Money“ is sparse, crude, intimate, sick… and ultimately honest.
Gerhard Frommel rejected vapid pre-war Nationalism and Schoenberg’s dodecaphony, finding his voice in individuality and tradition. His highly contrasting Piano Sonatas are rooted in a blend of romanticism and the rhythmic propulsion of Stravinsky, articulated with tenderness in No 1, clownish grotesquerie in No 2, and sensual impressionism in No 3.
