Redefining Darkness sees Shining once again turning unimaginable desperation into something that you may not be able to feel, but is so close that you almost suffocate on it. This isn’t achieved through abject malevolence or smothering, dense musicianship, but instead through painting the emotions of a man veering to either end of the emotional spectrum. It’s an album that is occasionally sickening, and always challenging, but truly the work of a band who understand the best music is grown out of the most volatile of emotions.

Before the release of his orchestral album The Abbey Sessions (November 6, 2012) Kylie Minogue presented us their new video for the first signl "Flower". Kylie performed the song since 2007, but the track was never recorded in the studio. Now we can not just listen to this great song, and also look at a clip on it, which was filmed in black and white.

The Greek-born Dimitri Mitropoulos (1896–1960) was incredibly gifted – his photographic memory allowed him to conduct without a score in concert and also in rehearsal! After studies in Athens, Brussels and Berlin, he took various posts in Greece. In 1930, Mitropoulos played the solo part in Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3 with the Berlin Philharmonic and conducted the work from the keyboard, becoming the first modern musician to do so. He made his US debut in 1936 and went on to become principal conductor of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra (1937–1949) and then music director of the New York Philharmonic (1951–1957), where he was eventually succeeded by Leonard Bernstein. He expanded the repertoire of the NYPO and championed Mahler’s symphonies in particular.

Kathleen Ferrier (22 April 1912–8 October 1953) remains one of the best-loved British singers of our time. The eminent vocal expert Alan Blyth wrote of her in 1998: ‘Kathleen Ferrier, a legend in her own lifetime, has certainly become one since her untimely death in 1953. Her professional life, lasting little more than a decade, saw her rise from the obscurity of appearing with choirs in the north of England to the eminence of an international career in the company of such conductors as Barbirolli, Walter and Klemperer. It was an extraordinary transformation in every respect, but one wholly justified by the dignity and conviction of her singing and the commitment of her interpretations.’

The great 101 Strings Orchestra includes in this album twenty-two classic songs of universal swing music specially dedicated to lovers. Musical works of authors such as C. Porter, R. Rodgers, A. Manzanero, etc. have become an assurance of timeless melodies and this album gives a good example of this. Arrangements are always prepared for the interpretation of the own orchestra and for the showcasing of stringed instruments available to this brilliant musical whole.

Album performed by the musician, accordionist and keyboardist Joe Mooney (New Jersey, 1911-1975) and his instrumental quartet. Mooney, who was blinded in her childhood, began very young his musical activity with his brother Dan and made his first recordings as early as 18 years. After passing through various musical groups ended up creating its own set combo 'Joe Mooney and his Quartet', comprising accordion, bass, guitar and clarinet, preferably playing jazz, swing and pop in which he liked to improvise with the accordion. The group was very popular in USA, recorded during the period 1946 to 1965 and performed on television, though mostly acted in his own club in Florida, 'The Grate Joy'. The repertoire of the album contains 14 songs, popular at the time, played in support of his swing style on adaptations to tango, waltz, foxtrot, etc.

This is the first time that these recordings have been legitimately available since their original release as the Death By Metal demo tape (1984). This is the beginning of DEATH!
