Since 1998 Baptism has casted its grim shadow over Finnish landscape. Not only remaining faithful to bands spirit. but perfecting it's musical representation. "As The Darkness Enters" is logical step higher. where every element of band has gained strength. From writing of riffs. to composition and balance of sound. 2012 Baptism radiates the confidence of its mastermind to combine freezing melancholy. cold razor sharp fierce aggression. traditions of heavy black metal and atmospheric dark melodies.

Pat Benatar first came to the world’s attention with her hit debut album In the Heat of the Night in 1979. This was followed up by her second album Crimes of Passion a year later, also a multi platinum earner. Her most successful album, Precious Time, followed next in 1981. Releasing an album a year, she followed her first three successful albums with Get Nervous, Live From Earth, Tropico and Seven the Hard Way. The tempo then slowed a little, but the albums still continued with Wide Awake in Dreamland, Best Shots and True Love.

Venezuelan outfit Pi XPRNC started taking shape back in 2001, when Karen Gonzalez started writing material of an eclectic and experimental nature, incorporating influences from a multitude of rather different artists. King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Frank Zappa are among the ones mentioned. In 2007 Karen decided to start recording this material, and invited various musicians to participate in this project. The end result was the album Algenia, issued on French label Musea Records in 2008. A genre-defying venture, blending art rock with post rock, ambient soundscapes, hard rock and progressive metal, this effort has been favourably received.

Hades Archer is a Black Metal band from Chile (Santiago) which was formed in 2005. They have released 2 full-length albums 'For The Diabolical Ages' in 2011 and 'The Curse Over Mankind' in 2012. They also have released 4 demos 'Daughter of Perversion (Rehearsal 666)' in 2006, 'We Are a Black Image into the Fire…' also in 2006, 'Gloria Rex Infernvs' in 2010 and 'Advance of Chaos' in 2011. One EP 'Penis Metal' in 2008 and one Split album with 'Behead Christ' in 2009. They also appeared on the compilation "Hija de la Perversión" on "Hellthrashers Valdivia Compilation I". Hades Archer is : HateAxes Command (Pablo Clares) - Drums (Atomic Aggressor, Perdition (Chl), Magnanimus, Ereshkigal (Chl)) and Nabucodonosor III - Guitar, Vocals and Bass (Force of Darkness, Impure Possession (session)).

Ross Edwards naturally earns an important place in the Australian Composer Series. The piece that gives this disc its ostensible title, White Ghost Dancing, also alerts one to the wide range of his influences and musical enthusiasms. He ranges widely. Certainly there’s an acknowledged indebtedness to Aboriginal music but the driving rhythms surely owe their own special debt to Stravinsky – and in this particular case to the Rite of Spring. The fiery syncopation and the earth tones of Edwards’s winds also bring their own tangy sensibility and colour. Veni Creator Spiritus is an impressive …..

The first of two fundraising concerts that Townshend played at San Diego's La Jolla Playhouse, and an enchantingly intimate look at the veteran Who man as he chats, jokes, and, of course, plays through a solid set of acoustified classics. The venue itself has some fond attachments to Townshend – it was here that he premiered the Tommy musical before launching it on Broadway and, hardly surprisingly, the deaf, dumb and blind kid opens the show via a rousing "Pinball Wizard." From there, Townshend swoops into an affecting "Let My Love Open the Door," setting the pace for the remainder of the show.

…The Charlatans UK illustrates how a working rock & roll band can balance traditional rock and modern post-acid house music, and the results are frequently glorious.

This Israeli band (with British vocalist & guitarist) started as The Churchills and released the mind-blowing, psychedelic 1968 LP and some fine singles. In 1971 they moved to England, changed their name to Jericho Jones and recorded guitar-dominated and truly great heavy rock LP Junkies, Monkeys & Donkeys. In 1972 they has shortened their name to Jericho and released fantastic, eponymous album - the real gem of the heavy progressive era! Two shorter songs and three extended tracks make up the album. It was high-octane rock with plenty of heavy riffing and extended, driving guitar solos, screaming vocals & thunderous drumming, but also with numerous tempo changes and typical, progressive arrangements. Unfortunately, shortly after the last single (released in November 1972) the band split up.

With his new 2012 release All Grown Up, Shilts has raised the bar yet again. With ten original tracks of soul, jazz, RnB & funk, the tenor sax maestro brings his influences and experience with some high energy hooks and sweet jazzy melodies. The writing is fresh and creative and captures Shilts at his best, along with some of LA's top session musicians. Also featured is Oscar® and Grammy Award® nominated songstress Siedah Garrett on the sweet and uplifting song “Got Love.” This album is sure to be one of the big hits of 2012.
