Released in April 1971 (on Australian Infinity label) the Blackfeather debut LP is undoubtedly one of the best heavy progressive records ever! Massive and inventive guitar riffs, powerful and fluid solos, very solid rhythm section, catchy and adventurous melodies and clean and very dynamic production - that's why it's an album which can't be missed! It is worth noting that the recorder and tambourine parts were played by a young Bon Scott - the future AC/DC singer! Unfortunately, soon after the album release the Blackfeather line-up has been changed and the band began to play a much more lighter and bluesier material. This CD has been carefully remastered from the original, analogue source and now sounds better than ever!

Music played by the 'Ray Hamilton Ballroom Orchestra' offering a repertoire of 15 songs for standard ballroom style, 'rhumba'. The collection includes a range of well chosen topics, some composed as rhumba, but not always originally composed as such, but arranged for the interpretation of the Hamilton's orchestra. It is a healthy choice, well arranged and interpreted to enjoy a session of almost an hour of play on the dance floor.

The Quatuor Diotima offers a passionate performance of both quartets that would merit consideration in any case, but sample the viola d'amore's opening utterance at the beginning of track 9, and you may decide, even if you are already a confirmed admirer of Janácek's tense but richly romantic music, that a rehearing of these works is in order.

Music performed by the London Festival Band directed by British musician, composer, arranger and director Eric Rogers (1921-1981). Rogers during his career worked in film music. The Decca label paid tribute to the jazz of Louis Armstrong figure (here mentioned by his better known nickname, 'Satchmo'), who had just disappeared in 1971. The meeting topics ranging from jazz to pop during a period from the early 20s to late 60s. The selection was very wise and splendid the Rogers musical arrangements.

It's a Man's World is the upcoming fifth studio album by American recording artist Anastacia. It is due for release on November 9, 2012. Entirely produced by Glen Ballard, it will be Anastacia's first studio album since 2008's Heavy Rotation. It is set to consist of covers of songs by male rock artists.

This 1961 session is less well known than many of the other Jazz Messengers' Blue Note dates from the same period. THE WICTH DOCTOR is, however, a strong outing by the legendary group in its most prolific period. Featuring the classic lineup of Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Timmons, and Jymie Merritt, Blakey and his Messengers groove hard on cuts like Morgan's title track and the rhythmic "Afrique." Shorter and Morgan make a grand team as always on tasty arrangements like Shorter's "Those Who Sit and Wait," working together on the melody and then blowing tremendously powerful solos.

Without a doubt this is one of the literally the very best US heavy-psych rock albums, ever! This was a perfect combination of classic, early Damnation Of Adam Blessing-like psychedelic heavy rock with sharp riffing attack of early Grand Funk Railroad, Dust or Bang - combined with spacey guitar sounds, haunting melodies and some progressive influences. As a result it sounded more like the 1969, than in 1972! Released on a small, independent Starshine label and pressed in 1000 copies (with poster) nowadays the complete, original LP reaches a value of 1000$ and it must be said - fully deserved! This CD has been carefully remastered from the original source and sounds better and cleaner than ever; without annoying noises and compression. Enjoy!
