This awesome but underrated record from unjustly forgotten US band from Boston was released on Cotillion Records in 1972 and contained very ambitious, well-arranged and truly inspired, jazzy progressive rock with memorable and complex tracks, full of interesting ideas. Their music was characterized by fine electric guitar & Hammond phrases mixed with excellent and intensive violin, flute and sax solo parts. Because the Guns & Butter’s line-up was predominantly jewish, there was more than a hint of traditional jewish music in their sound, which gave them a unique and distinctive sound. This beautifully varied and simply stunning music can be compared to early Kansas, Jethro Tull and Darryl Way’s Wolf. Unfortunately, the record went completely unnoticed and as a result the band split up.

Album published in France and performed by the orchestra of Peter Hamilton, truly one of the many pseudonyms of the pianist, composer, arranger, conductor and record producer Francesco Anselmo (Turin, 1932), who worked for over 20 years as director for the record company musical Vedette. The album is dedicated to the interpretation of ballroom dance style tition called 'slow waltz', also known as 'Boston' as a variant of the American waltz.

Album released in Spain first of the vocal group 'Marfil'. Really this group was created to develop a project to rescue popular melodic songs and classic of the 60's, -those years being in the collective memory-, but trying to give them a new format and style, which led to the formula 'non stop medley'. The result of this and the second LP released was a resounding success in Spain. Later the avatars of the same group -consisting of two male and two female voices- and of the label marked a very varied career that has lasted however far from the hand of one of the founders, Marino. The LP and is very hard to find and the result still remains unforgettable to recreate these great and romantic songs created by composers and performers of the 60, pointers in Europe.

Anton Arensky’s suite-like 6 Pieces reveal his wide-ranging appreciation of musical styles, while both sets of Etudes showcase his melodic gifts and inventiveness, sometimes echoing Chopin’s elevation of mere technical challenge with lyricism and daring harmonies. If the unquiet spirits of Liszt and Schumann can occasionally be heard in the 6 Exercises titled ‘By the Sea’, Arensky’s own musical personality is nonetheless pervasive. A pupil of Rimsky-Korsakov and teacher of Rachmaninov and Scriabin, Arensky’s star swiftly set following his early death only to rise again in recent times.

Ketèlbey's oeuvre mainly consists of character pieces, often called 'Characteristic Intermezzo', 'Intermezzo Scene', etc. His music is neither profound or academic, but simple, cheerful, optimistic, and full of good tunes, music of perennial popular appeal, typical for the British light music of the interbellum.
