This is another of the early issue George Horn CCR remasters from Fantasy Records and has a DR14. This is from a 1970 concert at Oakland Coliseum.

For those who weren't around or have short memories, the Mike Curb Congregation was a large-scale singing group along lines similar to the Ray Conniff Singers but with something of a political edge.

Electric Arguments was the third studio album from The Fireman and their first to feature vocals. Its 13 varied tracks were recorded in 13 days, over a period of nearly a year. It's also the first Fireman album to be acknowledged by Paul as his work, featuring his and producer Youth's names on the artwork for the first time. Released by the independent labels One Little Indian and ATO, Electric Arguments topped the Billboard Independent Charts and was the first album by The Fireman to reach the UK and US top 75. Its title comes from a poem by Allen Ginsberg, an influence on Paul at the time, as he'd been “looking at the beauty of word combinations rather than their meaning.” The album was a huge critical success, with Rolling Stone referring to it as “the ex-Beatle's headiest music in years.”

Baked Beans consisted of the trio of Helmut Zerlett, Gottfried Tollmann and Nicole Tollmann. They released two albums under the Eye Q records sub label Recycle or die: Baked Beans (1993) and Bean Me Up, Scotty (1995). Their third and last album, Two Beans Or Not To Beans, was released under the label Day-Glo in 1998.

For his first solo album, Mike Watt assembled a different band for each track, creating a veritable who's who of post-punk and alternative rock – Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, Thurston Moore, J Mascis, Frank Black, Evan Dando, Dave Pirner, Henry Rollins, Flea, Lee Ranaldo, Mike D, and Pat Smear all appear, among others. Predictably, the sound is somewhat schizophrenic, but no more so than the average Minutemen album. (…) And Watt's own vocals on "Big Train" are as big-hearted, sly, and funny as the album itself.
