Austrian guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel makes his ECM leader debut with Driftwood, a trio album of subtlety and depth featuring renowned US jazz players Larry Grenadier and Brian Blade. Muthspiel – who recently made his first ECM appearance on Travel Guide as a member of a cooperative trio with fellow guitarists Ralph Towner and Slava Grigoryan – has enjoyed long, productive musical friendships live and on record with both Grenadier and Blade, leading to a sense of telepathic interplay on Driftwood.

Press to Play is the sixth solo studio album by Paul McCartney, the former bass guitarist for The Beatles. the album was released on 1 September 1986. It is notable for being his first solo album of entirely new music since his 1983 album Pipes of Peace and his first solo album released internationally by long-time label EMI after a brief alliance with Columbia Records in the US and Canada. The album achieved gold status by the BPI in the UK in September 1986.

Peter has developed his own style and each tune carries his very significant hand-writing. Peter Gun sounds dark and deep. It is hard and groovy and if you wish, you may call it 'Progressive House'!

Yes Remixes is a remix album featuring the songs of progressive rock band Yes and was released in 2003. Taking material harking back from 1970's Time and a Word to 1980s Drama, Virgil Howe a.k.a. "The Verge" (and son of Steve Howe) re-imagined Yes's music into a techno context, dramatically altering the band's sound. Although it briefly dented the remix sales charts, the album failed to chart at all in the regular listings.

What stands out mostly is their musicianship… and because the production on this CD is so very clean, in fact you can hear absolutely everything – every guitar note, every bass note, every snick of the drum, every crash of the cymbals, etc. It's space rock to be sure, both in subject matter and feel. What you get is a collection of mid-tempo pieces with airy and open arrangements.

Scored for flute, oboe, cor anglais, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, violin, viola, cello, double bass and piano, the Chamber Symphony, for 12 instruments in E major, Op. 33 is Enescu's last work and was, in fact, incomplete when he suffered a severe stroke in July 1954. The finishing touches were therefore put to the score by his close friend Marcel Mihalovici. Despite this last minute external influence, the Chamber Symphony is one of the most deeply personal and introspective of Enescu's works. The premiere of Enescu's Poème roumain, Op. 1, was the first of many triumphs for the 16-year-old composer, who had been studying in Paris with Massenet and Fauré since 1890. Edouard Colonne conducted the first performance at Théâtre du Chatelet, and the work's Romantic evocation of the Romanian national character caught the imagination of the sophisticated Parisian audience to the extent that Enescu would thereafter always be well received in that hard-to-please city…..
