One of the last discoveries on Sam Phillips' legendary Sun label, piano player Carl Mann was best known for his rockabilly reworking of the Nat "King" Cole pop standard "Mona Lisa." That million-selling hit positioned him as something of a softer, smoother Jerry Lee Lewis, possessed of a crooner's instincts and a velvety vibrato. Unfortunately, Mann was never able to land another hit on the level of "Mona Lisa," despite waxing a fair amount of high-quality rock & roll. Like many early rock vets, he eventually moved into country music when the rockabilly market dried up, but never successfully established himself in that arena, and gradually drifted out of music.

Previously only available on compact disc in Japan, the 1967 recording of Bellini's Norma featuring 24-year old soprano Elena Souliotis now gets an international release thanks to the Eloquence label. Sporting the original cover photo shot by Francesco Scavullo, this recording can be counted among the most worthy of owning .

Circa is a band of veterans, formed by former Yes members Billy Sherwood, Tony Kaye and Alan White. In Circa, they team up with guitarist Jimmy Haun to go off on an adventure into the past and present of progressive rock. Hints of the 70s, 80s and 90s show through in all compositions by this band, which at the same time are 100% 21st century progressive rock songs. In 2007, the band released their debut album Circa:2007, adding an even more 21st century touch to the old prog influences.

The Six Wives of Henry VIII: Live at Hampton Court Palace is a live album from the English keyboardist and composer Rick Wakeman, released through Eagle Records on 5 October 2009. The album is a live recording of the second of two sold-out concerts on 2 May 2009 at Hampton Court Palace in London. It documents the first live performances of Wakeman's 1973 instrumental concept album The Six Wives of Henry VIII in its entirety, in celebration of the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne. Wakeman performs with his band, The English Rock Ensemble, the Orchestra Europa and the English Chamber Choir.

With a reputation for deconstructing popular songs and the avant-garde, it seems natural for the bad boys of jazz, The Bad Plus, to record their version of Stravinsky's controversial masterpiece The Rite of Spring. This new recording captures The Bad Plus' unique version of the piece that they debuted on tour in 2011 in a multi-media program entitled "On Sacred Ground: Stravinsky's Rite of Spring." The show received critical acclaim at every stop with the New York Times calling their interpretation "electrifying," and the Boston Globe describing it as "exhilarating…dramatic, dynamic."

Dawn Explosion, the third and final album by Captain Beyond, was released in 1977. Original singer Rod Evans was replaced by Willy Daffern, and original drummer Bobby Caldwell had rejoined the band. CD reissues split "Breath of Fire, Part 1 & Part 2" into two tracks (subtitled "A Speck Within a Sphere" and "Alone in the Cosmos", respectively), and "Oblivion" into three tracks (with the preceding "Space Interlude" and succeeding "Space Reprise" being the sound effects and percussion that bookend the main section of "Oblivion").
