Scotch were an Italo disco group during the 1980s. The group was created by Manlio Cangelli (composer, keyboard and drum machine programming), then were added Vince Lancini (vocals) and Fabio Margutti (keyboards), joined by Franz Rome (keyboards, programming) for the second album Pictures Of Old Days…
"Go On…" was the third album by American pop band Mr. Mister. It was released in 1987, and featured a more serious tone than their previous album Welcome to the Real World, which was commercially successful. This album did not fare as well commercially and would become the last publicly released album by the band before they broke up in 1989.
Fans of guitarist Bireli Lagrene's early work probably will not care for this often passionate CD. Lagrene, who had switched from swing to fusion a few years earlier (and from acoustic guitar to electric), mostly roars throughout seven of his originals (plus Django Reinhardt's "Incertitude"), jamming with tenor saxophonist Bill Evans, keyboardist Clifford Carter, electric bassist Victor Bailey, percussionist Café and one of four drummers. The music is well-played but not all that memorable; none of the original themes were destined to catch on.
The Hot Magnolias are a Cincinnati based New Orleans-style party band featuring music ranging from 1920’s traditional jazz favorites to 1970’s funky dance songs. The Hot Magnolias talented eight-member group includes vocals, drums, bass, banjo, electric guitar, keyboards, saxophones, trombone, and trumpet.
Robert Glynn "Bob" Luman was an American country and rockabilly singer. This CD features Bob Luman at the start of his recording career. The music possesses the strength and character that is as evident today as when it was recorded more than fifty years ago. They are the wonderful lagacy of a gifted performer who always considered himself, "kinda Rockabilly"!
The final album recorded by Omen's classic lineup, The Curse found the Los Angeles group in a state of transition, relinquishing many of their original New Wave of British Heavy Metal-inspired trademarks in a somewhat forced attempt to play catch-up to the by-then dominant thrash metal movement…
