"Different Stages" is a live album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1998. The bulk of the first and second discs were recorded at the World Amphitheater in suburban Chicago during the 1997 Test for Echo tour, along with three songs from the 1994 Counterparts tour. The third disc is taken from a performance at the Hammersmith Odeon in London during the A Farewell to Kings tour in 1978.

The long-awaited full-length album by the German project which had time to prove itself by participating in a split-album as a powerful and interesting example of funeral doom death metal. Long tracks, avoiding the monotony and repetition, consistently reveal all the technical abilities of the musician who tried to reveal himself not only as a professional artist, but also as a talented composer and a sensual melodist. However, the latter did not prevent «Funeral Impressions» from becoming an example of dark, hopeless and heavy metal.

My Favorite Django is a sincere and respectful homage from a guitarist at the absolute top of his form, surrounded by equally high-ranking musicians. Listening to Django’s nine tunes reprised, one by Joseph Kosma as well one by Bireli himself (modestly entitled Solo), it is easy to say that the famous gypsy guitarist would play something like this today – just like Django’s son, Babik – to whom the disc is dedicated – said in a recent interview, “If my father were still alive, I am sure he would enjoy playing the guitar synthesiser.” This is for anyone who might think that Bireli Lagrène is ‘betraying’ the spirit of Reinhardt’s iconic compositions.
