Mojo presents Pink Floyd's 1979 Masterpiece Re-recorded: The Wall Re-Built is a tribute and testament to the power of the original album. For the past 30 years The Wall has fascinated both fans and musicians in equal measure, its claustrophobic qualities reflecting the alienation and disenchantment that assailed its principal architect. The biggest selling double album of all-time, the LP itself has also exerted a magnetic influence on fellow musicians, its themes of isolation and egotism possessing a particular fascination. Its appeal among musicians has allowed MOJO to assemble what has been one of our most ambitious projects to date in the shape of this exclusive two disc tribute to Pink Floyd's 1979 masterpiece. As with Disc One, we invite you once again to check out the individual work of all the artists involved with this second instalment of The Wall Re-Built, and to revel in the new perspectives offered by this unique celebration. MOJO has hand-picked a series of contemporary artists and given them free rein to reinterpret this most wide-ranging of works. The results, we hope you will agree, provide a new set of perspectives on the fantastic material.

Doogie White released his first solo album through Metal Mind Records in October 2011. The album called “As Yet Untitled” is a collection of 10 dramatic and hard hitting rock songs co-written by White and some good friends he has made over the years on the rock scene.

The Energy of Sound is a 1998 album created by Trance Atlantic Air Waves, a side project of Michael Cretu. Cretu worked alongside Jens Gad during the recording of the album. Out of the ten songs in the album, only three were original as the rest were all cover versions. In terms of style it's dominantly electronic, but the music is in both spectrums with some tracks being fast and energetic while others rely on a subtle touch.

Conjuring fresh and original material out of thin air can be as tricky as pulling rabbits out a hat. But that’s just what Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks have been doing throughout their extraordinary career. The talented duo came to fame with ‘This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us’ in 1974 and went to create many more hit singles and extraordinary albums. ‘Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat’ is a fine example of their post-disco period, when they were moving into the realms of novelty electronica pop. And if that sounds a convoluted description of their art, that’s because Sparks have always been difficult to categorise - so why bother categorising! Just enjoy these eleven quirky and entrancing performances from a 1984 album that has Ron Mael let loose on hi-tech synthesizers and Russell singing with all his high pitched charm.
