Dire Straits perform their brand of British pub rock from the double-album Alchemy: Dire Straits Live. The band that would eventually go on to become MTV darlings with their smash hit "Money for Nothing" showcase all of their early favorites, including "Sultans of Swing," "Tunnel of Love," "Once Upon a Time in the West," and many more. Mark Knopfler leads the band on the 11 songs featured in this concert performance, all of which are also included on the live album by the same name.

Few concert runs (read: several shows in the same venue) are as highly lauded by Grateful Dead enthusiasts as February 27 through March 2, 1969, at the Fillmore West in San Francisco. Although the title Fillmore West 1969: The Complete Recordings is misleading – as they played there upward of two dozen times during the year – practically every second of their eight-set, four-night stand is captured on this ten-CD box. The concurrent lineup included founders Ron "Pigpen" McKernan (vocals/organ/harmonica), Jerry Garcia (guitar/vocals), Bob Weir (guitar/vocals), Phil Lesh (bass/vocals), and Bill Kreutzmann (percussion). In September of 1967 that quintet was augmented by Mickey Hart (percussion) and the following March Tom Constanten (keyboards) joined to complete the incarnation heard here.

Wayne has re-signed to Blue Note Records, and has released his first album as a leader for the iconic label in 43 years with the release of Without A Net, a searing new album with his long-running quartet featuring pianist Danilo Perez, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Brian Blade. Without A Net is a 9-track musical thrill ride that consists of live recordings from the Wayne Shorter Quartet’s European tour in late 2011, the one exception being the 23-minute tone poem “Pegasus” which features the quartet with The Imani Winds recorded at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The album features six new Shorter compositions, as well as new versions of his tunes “Orbits” (from Miles Davis’ Miles Smiles album) and “Plaza Real” (from the Weather Report album Procession). The quartet also reinvents the title song from the 1933 musical film Flying Down To Rio, which film buffs know as the first on-screen pairing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Valensia met Robby Valentine (another Dutch singer) at an airport, as they were both listening to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. After that, Valensia started sending demos to several record companies and producer John Sonneveld noticed him. Then Valensia signed a record deal with Mercury Records and in 1993 his first album "Valensia" was released.

Children of the Dark Waters is the sixth studio album by Finnish symphonic death metal band Eternal Tears of Sorrow. It was released in May 2009 through Suomen Musiikki for Finland, Massacre Records for the rest of Europe and Marquee/Avalon Records for Asia. It is the second album to feature Jarmo Kylmänen on clean vocals, but his first album as an official member. The Japanese and Korean versions include two bonus tracks: Vilda Mánnu (Re-recording Version) and Sea of Whispers (Karaoke Version)

Darius was one of the better obscure late-'60s psychedelic singers who did only one album. So this release of 15 previously unreleased songs – all recorded between 1967-1971, though not many other details are given on this disc – is quite welcome…

Jeroen van Tuijl, the lead vocalist and guitarist, discovered his love for the guitar more then 25 years ago. After playing a lot of covers with various bands and being influenced by his favorite rock and blues music, Jeroen was inspired to compose his own music. In addition he also writes his own lyrics. This all resulted in forming the JvT band, together with Hans on bass and Rene on drums. These 3 passionate musicians play Jeroens music with a heart, coming out of their souls.
