Enrico Ruggeri (born June 5, 1957) is an Italian rock singer-songwriter. A native of Milan, Ruggeri made his debut in the 1970s with the punk band Decibel. …The members of Liquid Jesus borrowed ideas from other bands and genres with gleeful abandon, and the colorful mix of ideas was far more interesting than almost anything their contemporaries were doing. This strategy was nevertheless a weakness because the radio programmers had no idea what to do with such a sprawlingly diverse album. Rolling Stone gave the album a very good review, as did several other influential journals, but the Pour in the Sky never got the attention it deserved.

Reilly in 1967 designed a concert harmonica that was manufactured by the Hohner house. In collaboration with Kai Warner performed this compendium of 12 Latin-themed pieces (in other editions entitled 'America armonica'). The harmonica, a small instrument usually underestimated, is large by the hand of a virtuoso like Tommy Reilly.

John Mayall is often more remembered for who has passed through his group than he is for his music. Such artists as Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, and a host of others are ex-Bluesbreakers. John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers: Live At Iowa State University was recorded in 1987. His band at the time consisted of dual guitarists Walter Trout and Coco Montoya with Bobby Hayes on bass and Paul Hines behind the drums. He was in his mid-fifties at the time this concert was recorded and appeared healthy. His voice is in fine shape. He even seems to be having fun on stage. The music is superb. John Mayall plays the blues and nothing but the blues….

Marilyn Mazur’s work has always expressed a free-spiritedness beyond idioms and borders. Born in New York, raised in Denmark, she has contributed powerfully to improvisation on both sides of the Atlantic, and her resume has included stints with Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Gil Evans as well as 14 years on the road with the Jan Garbarek Group. In recent years her own groups have been the primary focus and the adventurous, song-oriented “Celestial Circle” has been active since 2008. The present disc is the group’s first recording. Material intersperses songs and instrumentals penned by Mazur with collectively improvised trios and duos. Singer Josefine Cronhom (who previously worked with Mazur in the Percussion Paradise ensemble) has her ECM debut here and old friends John Taylor and Anders Jormin make welcome returns.

In "Southern Kind of Life," a song on her debut album, The Captain, Kasey Chambers convincingly describes a rural Southern upbringing – poverty stricken and Bible dominated – and since she performs in a style associated with the Appalachians as developed into commercial country music, it's easy to assume she's singing about the American South. But she isn't; she's singing about the Nullarbor Plain in south-central Australia, where she grew up, apparently listening to a lot of country records…..

Several 1970 Doors concerts were officially recorded for use on the Absolutely Live album, including both of the shows they gave in Boston on April 10 of that year. This three-CD set has the early and late sets from Boston in their entirety, adding up to about three hours of music, all but two of the tracks previously unreleased. Well, three hours of mostly music, it should be clarified; it's padded by a whole lot of Jim Morrison raps and crowd reaction, to the point where it starts to seem like there's less music than speech by the end of the second show.
