The German metal force returns with their 14th album! Led by the inimitable Udo Dirkschneider, of course, 'Steelhammer' is full of everything fans have come to love about this German institution.
On the surface, A Pale Horse Named Death are impressive. But you´ll want to dig deeper and immerse yourself in all the sonic and lyrical layers, because the band isn´t afraid to plume the depths of darkness that humanity is capable of. It´s murky stuff, but someone has to do it.Musically, the record matches that pallor and "will hit you in the gut." There are more harmonies this time out, and the piano is a bit more front and center, while guitarist Eddie Heedles contributed some leads. But for the most part, the formula remained largely untouched. "If it´s not broken, don´t fix it,´" Abruscato said, matter-of-factly. "We wanted to display the advancements, musically and artistically, and retain the core element."Mission accomplished!A Pale Horse Named Death arrived with And Hell Will Follow Me. They have firmly implanted their roots in the metal scene with Lay My Soul to Waste. It’s a metal album that headbangers who enjoy a walk on the darker side of life will end up revering and responding to.
Cartesian Dreams is the seventh studio album by House of Lords, released on September 18, 2009 in Europe and October 13, 2009 in the US. The album features the same line-up as the previous albums World Upside Down and Come to My Kingdom, except new bassist Matt McKenna, and was produced by singer James Christian and Jeff Kent with Tommy Denander as co producer on a couple of songs he co wrote.
The overall sound of "Sleepwalk" is however way more up-to-date and modern than some of their previous attempts. The aggressive and slightly down-tuned guitar sound add a more edgy attitude and you definitely need to be open minded about the whole old vs. modern rock discussion. It's neither something you'll instantly embrace at first spin.
Canadian punk rockers the Riptides hail from Ottawa, Ontario, forming in the mid-'90s with an aggressive pop sound that nodded to the Queers and Ramones as much as it did the Dwarves and Meatmen. Here's their brand's last full-length produced by super genius Mass Giorgini. Bubblegum pop punk that will have you smiling bigger than ever. Fans of old-Lookout Records/Sonic Iguana will love this record.
The band of the German musician Max Greger is one of the most lavish and recognized in Europe in the interpretation of dance music, both for ballroom and for competition. The album features the first part with 9 songs dedicated to single or double standards of Latin styles and a second part also steadily danceable in non-stop format.
The Cuban Machito was an influential Latin jazz musician, which helped improve both initial Afro-Cuban jazz, Latin jazz first stage, as the 'salsa' and created the Cubop (fusion of Cuban music and jazz bebop) . This album is a compilation produced two years after his death and brings 12 songs from his repertoire differentiating chachachás and mambos. Machito died from a heart attack performing at a concert at Ronnie Scott's in London.
