Criminally overlooked upon its release, 1998 saw Chaka Khan shine on Come 2 My House. This album is thanks largely to the work of Prince, whose voice, words, and musicianship permeate the record all the way down to the colorful packaging. In fact, compared with New Power Soul, his own lackluster release that year, Come 2 My House and Graham Central Station's 2000, also from the Prince camp, should count as the real Prince albums of 1998.

    U.S.A. | Mp3 320 Kbps | 136 MB
    Progressive/Thrash Metal

Shallow Ground was originally formed in the year 1994, went on hiatus after a couple of years, reformed in 2009, self-released a self-titled five track EP in 2010, signed with the German Killer Metal Records label, just released their 'The End Of Everything' CD and the line-up consists of Keith Letourneu (vocals / guitars), Tim Smith (guitars), Nick Ziembicki (bass) and Kurt Ragis (drums). This was just a brief biography from this nice thrash metal band from Conneticut / U.S.A., so let's talk music now!The CD contains 11 tracks and has a playing time of about 60 minutes. It's obvious to me that Shallow Ground are a talented band. Of course they are relatively newcomers to the scene but these are no fifteen year olds that just started to explore their instruments. These guys are skilled musicians! Their thrash metal is certainly well arranged and the song structures are great. A lot of interesting riffs and grooves do exist on 'The End Of Everything'. Shallow Ground will be highly appreciated by fans of Flotsam And Jetsam, Heathen, Bloodlust and Hirax, so those who adore their U.S. thrash metal old, nasty and violent should definitely check out this great band!

SHOTGUN REVOLUTION is a Hard Rock band from Copenhagen, Denmark. Back in 2010 they released their debut album, “Join The Revolution”, then “The Legacy Of Childhood Dreams” in 2012, up next will be their third, and self-titled album. SHOTGUN REVOLUTION’s newest effort turned out to be very good, awesome and melodic. There is nothing better than the spirit of true Rock N’ Roll elevated by the crunchiness of Hard Rock. The songwriting is pretty good, generally a fun in the sun, relaxing and punchy when needed. 80s fans could feast on this one for a long period of time.

A couple in life as well as music, their newly released The Heart’s Swift Foot holds ten beautiful tracks of original material written over the last two years since two initial albums made in 2011; the all originals Middlewest Chant and a compilation of traditional tunes called Mountain Shout. Two songs recorded for the new record include covers of “My Heart’s Own Love” by Hazel Dickens and “St. James Hospital” by Doc Watson to honor both torchbearers who have passed on to the other side. “We crafted the recording to be as close to our live performance as possible,” Beauchamp says. “We feel we’re at our best when we’re playing together, listening and reacting as we go along.”

Though times, members, even the overall vision of the band may change, one thing has always remained consistent with the Huntingtons over their 7 year history: catchy, pop-based, punk rock songs delivered with an uncompromising amount of energy. After years of touring the U.S., along with 2 trips to Europe and 2 amazing shows with Joey Ramone, the guys have settled down to write their 7th full length album. With not-so-new members Andy DiBiaso (guitar) and Rick Wise (drums) on board, the band that took Ramones-core to a whole new level is now focused on creating something that's all their own, while continuing to pay homage to the creators of the genre.

The Warsaw Jazz Jamboree has been a tradition in Warsaw, Poland for more than 30 years. The U.S. government provided funds through the Polish Jazz Society to "Needle" the Communist rulers of Poland by helping to bring jazz to the oppressed citizens of Poland. After all, jazz is not only America's only original art form, but the epitome of "free" expression.
When Poland became free, our State Department no longer had a "budget" to support the Warsaw Jazz Jamboree.

This latest addition to Christopher Herrick’s acclaimed Buxtehude catalogue is performed on the magnificent Organ of Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge. Everything heard on this disc was composed over three-hundred years ago when printed music was a rarity and organists were required to be highly proficient in the art of improvisation. Certainly none of Buxtehude’s organ works was printed in his lifetime, and it was not until 1875 that they first became available. Herrick’s communication is exceptional in these stimulating performances and his inspired interpretations are so vivid that they appear improvisatory in their approach.

Continuing the series ‘Bach’s Contemporaries’, this volume concentrates on the wonderful music of Johann Schelle—a cousin of Kuhnau (another composer featured in this series). This immensely striking sacred music by Schelle (one of Bach’s predecessors in the post of Kantor in Leipzig’s famous Thomas Church) brings together a top-flight group of soloists and a large and colourful assembly of instrumentalists, and presents remarkable and splendidly varied music which not only stands up proudly in its own musical right, but also greatly enhances our understanding of Bach’s own sacred writing.

The group was formed and began operations in 2009 and released his second album. Popularity of guitar music declined lately. This album's release is well-timed - incorporating some great harmonies into subtler moments and rock anthems. The album is a stirring of funk to it, sublimely moves from vocal delivery into a warming declaration of love in a festival chorus.

War's first album without Eric Burdon was a strange, imposing, and beautiful hybrid – a bridge between their then-current work with Burdon and their roots, going back to the early '60s and their origins as the Creators and the Nightshift. Although it was never a hit – topping out at number 190 on the charts – or yielded any substantial AM radio hits, the album is musically imposing in its sheer breadth, and its boldness, melding the new and the best of the old update, incorporating songs, arrangements, and ideas that dated well back into the prior decade, and the group's origins as the Creators and the Nightshift.

Long Live Rock 'n' Roll may be singer Ronnie James Dio's last album with Rainbow, but at least he went out on a high note. While the material is not quite as strong as on the previous studio effort, Rising, Long Live Rock 'n' Roll maintains the momentum the band had built up. "Kill the King" had been previously heard on the live On Stage record, but here it sounds more fully realized. Also, the title track from the album stands as one of the best songs the band did, not to mention a noble sentiment. The chugging "L.A. Connection" is another highlight.

Bee Gees: In Our Own Time is a very good documentary about The Bee Gees, one of the most famous bands of the 1970s with their indelible fashions and unmistakable falsetto voices. In fact, it may be said that the band is almost the epitome of the '70s—the beards, the gold medallions and the leisure suits are all a time capsule of a disco era gone by. Fans of the group will eat up this newly produced film directed by Martyn Atkins (who has directed concert and videos for such groups as Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Eric Clapton). Those of us with less of an interest may start to look at our watches close to the foury-five minute mark (at least I know I did).

Acclaimed Swedish reed player Fredrik Ljungkvist's key solo outfit is the Yun Kan band. This band, in its incarnation as a quintet, released two remarkable albums, Yun Kan 12345 and Badaling (Caprice, 2004 and 2007) and in recent years operated in a slimmed down version as Yun Kan 3 and as an ambitious outgrowth of the quintet as Yun Kan 10. Now, finally, more than five years after its last documentation, this ensemble has been beautifully recorded by Swedish Radio.
