Album recorded at a live performance at Hibiya Kokhaido (Japan). Along Sadao with sopranino, alto flute, eight soloists accompanying instruments like piano and keyboards, drums and congas, trumpet, trombone, tenor and soprano sax, cello, 8 violins and two violas, integrating a gang of up to 19 musicians.Sadao remains a very controversial musician, particularly among jazz classics, many of which do not recognize in this musical style. This live performance offered an hybrid repertoire from naturalist music, spiritual music, the jazz –wandering free jazz- and Latin jazz.

Luxury Blue Note collection on 10 CDs as selected by 2Sounds, spanning the history of the great Blue Note label. Packaging: Clamshell box, 10 CD, 12p booklet. I new this would be good,but I am so glad I stepped up and purchased this collection. My wife and I play through the list of CD's daily. Yes,the standards are there,but it's the players we are unfamiliar with that make this a great buy!

Los Angeles native Candye Kane sings a sassy and showbiz-savvy blend of blues and soul that takes no prisoners of any persuasion. Kane has been a lot of things in her life, from a mother and serious student to a pinup girl and actress (both on-stage and in risqué movies), and she even did a stint as a serious, full-tilt punk rocker. She’d be just another fringe player in L.A. except for two things she can sing like nobody’s business and she has a sexy, intelligent, and passionate musical vision to match her voice.

The debut album "From Ashes To Fire" was mixed by Fredrik Nordström & Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman [At The Gates, In Flames, Hammerfall] and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios [Symphony X, Opeth, Kreator]. Needles to say, the production on “From Ashes To Fire” is excellent. The artwork for the album was created by Anders Fästader at A Trailermade Production [H.E.A.T., Hardcore Superstar, The Poodles]. As for the music itself; is comes from Inner Wound Records SWEDEN with 13 catchy tracks containing a nice progressive twist!

The band from Hanover wanted to create a technically interesting album with catchy tunes, an album with memorable and solid songs. Not an easy task but the results were more than positive. Dreamtide's contains 3 ex-members of Fair Warning (Helge Hengelke: guitars, C.C. Behrens: drums & Torsten Luederwaldt: keyboards) bassist Ole Hempelmann (well known from his days in Thunderhead) and Vocalist Olaf Senkbeil who used to sing for Jack's Hammer and also did backing vocals for Blind Guardian.

The 24 "books" of the ILIAD were assigned to 12 pianists. Each artist participating to the project had chosen two "books" and composed music inspired by them. The result is, a wonderful concept album, full of brilliant ideas, inspiration and piano virtuosity…

SVARTTJERN was formed by HansFyrste and HaaN as a two man project in 2003. The two brothers decided to bring more musicians to the band to be able to start doing some live shows, and to bring the band to new levels. 2007: SVARTTJERN parted ways with Skabb, and Terror came in on the base, bringing fresh blood to the band. The band was now ready to record a three track demo, to finally show the music they have been working so many years to get to. ‘Demo 07’ was only sent out to labels, and only printed in very few numbers for sale. SVARTTJERN signs with Schwarzdorn Production and were ready to record their first full length album Misanthropic Path of Madness. The debut album was released on the 13 of february. 2009. The Misanhtropic album reached great feeback and reviews.

As the World comes off much stronger than Echolyn's first few releases, with an instrumental barrage that is full and flourished, sounding more dynamic than 1991's Echolyn and 92's Suffocating the Bloom. With As the World, Echolyn's progressive tendencies take root in the quick-changing rhythms and in the musical momentum altogether, much like Yes's structure but without the intricate string work…

With the passage of time, Bill Evans has become an entire school unto himself for pianists and a singular mood unto himself for listeners. There is no more influential jazz-oriented pianist only McCoy Tyner exerts nearly as much pull among younger players and journeymen and Evans has left his mark on such noted players as Herbie Hancock, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Brad Mehldau. Borrowing heavily from the impressionism of Debussy and Ravel, Evans brought a new, introverted, relaxed, lyrical, European classical sensibility into jazz and that seems to have attracted a lot of young conservatory-trained pianists who follow his chord voicings to the letter in clubs and on stages everywhere.
