Black & White album by James Harman / James Harman Band was released Nov 24, 2009 on the Hep cat label. At more than an hour, "Black & White" could have used some pruning, and its peak moments don't reach quite as high as those on last year's "Cards on the Table." But as Harman proceeds along a bluesman's path where the foremost rule is to keep on keepin' on, he has produced another keeper.

The 'The Ray Charles Singers' group was created by musician, singer, songwriter and arranger Charles Raymond Offenberg (Chicago, 1918), aka 'Ray Charles', currently still alive and recognized as an authority on American popular music. Not to be confused with the also famous singer, musician and composer 'Ray Charles' Robinson (Georgia, 1930-2004), pioneer of the music 'soul' and great interpreter of blues and gospel. The Ray Charles Singers group was presented and directed by Ray Charles Offenberg on radio and TV programs of Perry Como, where performed with fixed character for 35 years.

The first Tower of Power album, when the band was only honing its concept and seeking a lead singer. On some songs, notably "Sparkling in the Sand," you can hear the group beginning to come together. They already had a fine horn section, and were only some good arrangements away from becoming one of the best pop and soul bands in the nation. The vocals were uneven, although Rick Stevens would later emerge as the prime vocalist. Despite its flaws, it's worth having because the diamond was being cut on these selections. It's recently been reissued on CD.

Nitin Sawhney's eighth studio album London Undersound released on 13 October 2008, by Cooking Vinyl. It includes collaborations with Paul McCartney, Natty, Imogen Heap, Reena Bhardwaj, Ojos de Brujo, Anoushka Shankar, Tina Grace, Faheem Mazhar, Aruba Red, and Roxanne Tataei.

A Hard Day's Night is a 1964 British black-and-white comedy film directed by Richard Lester and starring the Beatles—John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr—during the height of Beatlemania. It was written by Alun Owen and originally released by United Artists. The film portrays a couple of days in the lives of the group. The film is considered to be one of the best and most influential musical films of all time.
