Yiannis Markopoulos, like other top greek composers, has many times created masterpieces based on great poetry. This double album includes the musical proposition of Markopoulos for the touching epic poem "The free besieged" of Greece's National Poet, Dionysios Solomos and the work of the Nobelist Giorgos Seferis, "Stratis the seaman among the Agapanthi". The songs are interpreted mainly by the "usual" Markopoulos' duo, Nikos Xylouris and Lakis Halkias, with the participation of the popular actress Irene Papas in a narrator role. Full booklet and artwork scans included. Enjoy one more monumental work of Yiannis Markopoulos.
