Horde is back after four years of silence. Half an hour fucking death metal in the stuffy old-school atmosphere move you into the abyss of the early nineties. Eleven of hell, profane, hateful tracks spreads in the dust naive blind its massive sound. Additionally in the end of album industrial track by Horologium. This album proves Ebola its lead in the home throne of old school death.
Chick Corea and John McLaughlin share one of the great pedigrees in the music of the 20th century: they were both key sidemen on Miles Davis' seminal albums In a Silent Way and Bitches Brew. They have played together since those heady days, as a duo or as sit-in guests. Five Peace Band was Corea's idea of putting together a dream band to play all kinds of jazz, and he approached McLaughlin. Corea chose the other members in saxophonist Kenny Garrett, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, and bassist Christian McBride.
...Matthew Smith (b. 1953) builds up his Symphony No. 8 in Four Movements (2003) from the raw sounds of six 1/16-size Suzuki violins, eight jaw harps, strings, and percussion and his Symphony No. 4 in Five Movements (2001) from a smaller assortment of stringed instruments. The bowed sounds and overlapping percussive tracks combine into distorted abstract patterns akin to electro-acoustic music, often with eerie, futuristic touches; Smith's use of open strings in fifths also anchors his music in the past by summoning memories of sixteenth century viols.
Less sociopolitical than previous efforts, Give Get Take Have offers "Mr. Welfare Man" as its sole attempt to enlighten and enhance. Mayfield was obviously experiencing the joys of new love when he cut "Only You Babe" and "This Love Is Sweet," and the tear-jerking numbers "In Your Arms Again" and "Party Night." His aching falsetto coos and purrs, but sounds weakened on this LP. Overall, the album falls short of Mayfield's former releases, but even great artists don't always achieve their usual high standards. Never Say You Can't Survive was the last Curtis Mayfield album done in a pure soul vein for the next three years.
Headshot was founded in 1993 and Synchronicity is the new album from this Thrash Metal outfit. With Synchronicity offer technical finesse mixed up with irresistible melodies and a brutal sound. A feast for fans of bands like Exodus, Death Angel, Forbidden or Arch Enemy.
One of the most consistent and most soulful of all jazz altoists, Hank Crawford sounds at his best when he has strong melodies to wrap his tone around, and when he can dig into the blues. Both aspects are true during this quartet outing which he co-leads with organist Jimmy McGriff. Crawford sounds particularly strong on "Jumpin' With Symphony Sid" and "Hank's Groove" and even if "Any Day Now" is a bit of a misfire, the interplay between the altoist and the organist (helped out by guitarist Jimmy Ponder's occasional solos and strong support from drummer Vince James) makes this an excellent soul jazz effort overall.
Digitally remastered and expanded three disc (two CDs + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) edition of this 1996 album. Suede recruited 17-year-old guitarist Richard Oakes, following the departure of Bernard Butler. Oakes joined for the Dog Man Star tour, after which the band returned to the studio to record their third album. At this point they also enlisted keyboard player Neil Codling. The resulting album, issued in 1996, entered the album charts at # 1 and spawned five Top Ten singles and is their biggest-selling album. This deluxe edition features the non-album b-sides as well as demos from the collections of Brett Anderson, Richard Oakes and Neil Codling. The DVD features the previously unreleased concert video Live At The Roundhouse featuring a guest appearance from Neil Tennant. Also featured is Suede In Paris, a newly-discovered full-length film of Richard Oakes' first ever concert with the band in October 1994. The bonus feature is a February 2011 interview with Brett, Richard and Neil about the making of the album, along with a short film put together by Simon Gilbert from his own contemporary camcorder footage.
Recorded over four days at Jack White's Third Man studios in Nashville, Sleep with One Eye Open may surprise some fans of Nickel Creek/Punch Brothers vocalist/mandolin phenom Chris Thile. While his technical acumen remains uncontested, the addition of blistering bluegrass singer/guitarist Michael Daves and notorious engineering luddite White into the mix has helped to temper Thile's signature refinements into something raw and primal.
'Pequeña Compañía' was a Spanish vocal group made up of four singers who built his career between 1978 and 1987. They performed melodic songs in a medley format usually bringing popular themes (boleros, chachacha, tangos, cumbias, etc..) which achieved great success at those years.
The progressive German death metal band OBSCURA was founded in 2002 by guitarist/vocalist Steffen Kummerer and drummer Jonas Baumgartl. The band caused a stir when they - out of nowhere - toured as support for SUFFOCATION on their European tour in 2006 and when they independently released their debut album 'RETRIBUTION' that same year…
