George Lynch is one of the most dynamic and influential guitarists in music today. During the rush of the 1980's rock scene, his catchy riffs, soaring guitar solos, and impassioned songwriting, elevated Dokken well above most other bands in the glam, Hair Metal, era. Over a dozen hit singles and a string of successful platinum albums, including Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack, have stood the test of time, and become part of the very fabric of musical culture.

Kajagoogoo are best remembered for their 1983 new wave hit "Too Shy" and for being teen pinup idols during their short reign at the top of the charts. It all came crashing down when they canned vocalist Limahl the following year and continued as a quartet with bassist Nick Beggs taking over vocal duties. Their first album sans Limahl was the adventurous Islands, a release that saw them moving away from the mainstream and bringing their considerable musical skills to the fore (the album was not released in the States, although many of the tracks ended up on an album called Extra Play, their first official release without the "googoo" in their name).

One of the most important names in the new generation of Polish black metal, BLAZE OF PERDITION conjure their second album "The Hierophant". On their debut, they quickly showed that they were much more than your average black metal band. The new full-lenght sees the band go into even more darker territories. "The Hierophant" is a creation of pure darkness fronted by two vocalists spewing forth 9 blasphemous hymns of aggressive, hateful and crushing Black Metal, that any fan or person who appreciates quality musical craftsmanship will surely sing praise to.

"Liturgia Haeresis" is the third full length album of Patria, a duo from Brazil which was formed in 2008 and their music is a journey through the old Norwegian sound. In this album there are ten fast tracks baptized in the Norwegian sound of the first half of the ‘90ies with many rhythmic Thrash and some mid tempo Heavier passages.However Patria offer a very good album of raw untouched Norwegian Black Metal which didn’t tire me at all and I really enjoyed it.

From the confusion and chaos that marked one of the most harrowing episodes in American history comes Tori Amos's masterwork. Scarlet's Walk, the follow-up to her critically acclaimed covers LP, Strange Little Girls, was written on a cross-country road trip shortly after the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. Over the course of 3,000 miles and 18 tracks, the crimson-haired singer encounters rogue lovers ("A Sorta Fairytale"), reformed porn stars ("Amber Waves"), and an entire cast of characters who embody the spirit of a country suddenly searching for an identity. The album serves as both an ambitious travelogue and as a graceful rejoinder to the bitterness and frustration that inspired it, with Amos wading through swells of sadness ("I Can't See New York"), anger ("Don't Make Me Come to Vegas"), and insecurity ("Your Cloud") with velvety grace.

Album released in Spain with a collection of then selected 'boleros', classics in the history of this musical style. All of them are undoubtedly on the list of the most famous, from great works of the Mexicans Agustín Lara and Paco Michel up Cubans eternal themes by Osvaldo Farrés or Pedro Junco.

One of the most respected British conductors of Mozart; Jane Glover was, from 1984 to 1991, Artistic Director of the London Mozart Players. Under her leadership the orchestra expanded its repertoire beyond the great 18th Century classics to take in a wider range of contemporary works. In addition to their adventurous and highly praised London concerts, Jane Glover and the orchestra toured throughout the U.K. and abroad, to France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and the Far East. In 1991 they made their sixth appearance together at the BBC Promenade Concerts. Their many recordings include a major and highly acclaimed series of Mozart and Haydn symphonies for ASV (the set of Mozart's Symphonies 25-41 won the Music Retailers' Association Award for Excellence in 1992, as had their recording of arias with Felicity Lott in 1991), as well as works by Britten and Walton.

Ammons, whose studio recordings of the period were somewhat commercial, is heard in excellent form playing a blues and three standards with the backing of a fine rhythm section: Hampton Hawes (who unfortunately sticks to electric piano), electric bassist Bob Cranshaw, drummer Kenny Clarke and Kenneth Nash on congas. Best of all is a 17-minute blues on which Ammons welcomes fellow tenor Dexter Gordon, cornetist Nat Adderley and altoist Cannonball Adderley; the four horns all get to trade off with each other. This is one of the better late-period Gene Ammons records.

Anne Clark (born 14 May 1960, Croydon, London, England) is an English poet and songwriter. Her first album, The Sitting Room, was released in 1982, and she has released over a dozen albums since then. Her experimental music occupies a region bounded roughly by electronic, dance (techno applies on occasion) and possibly avant-garde genres, with varying hard as well as romantic and orchestral styles. Clark is mainly a spoken word artist. Many of her lyrics deal critically with the imperfections of humanity, everyday life, and politics. Especially in her early works she has created a gloomy, melancholy kind of atmosphere bordering on weltschmerz.
