Changesbowie is a CD greatest-hits collection that revamps the original Changesonebowie by adding selections from David Bowie's late-'70s and early-'80s albums. Consequently, it functions as a definitive single-disc introduction to Bowie, featuring all of his major hits from "Space Oddity," "Changes," "Ziggy Stardust," "Jean Genie," and "Rebel Rebel" to "Heroes," "Ashes to Ashes," "Let's Dance," "Modern Love," and "Blue Jean." One complaint: It wasn't necessary to substitute the "Fame '90" remix for the original to hook completists, since it is inferior and was already issued as a separate single.

As a first-call session ace, Loeb has been in the thick of matters, hearkening back to the 70s. As a solo artist, he’s merged contempo jazz with fusion and other jazz-inflected horizons. The blindside blues band to mastermind Mike Onesko belongs to the top of the power-Blues. Rarely the blues of similar to hard 'n' is interpreted currently heavy as of this combo. Classic 'old school' is equipped with hardest riffs and powerful fills them. Oneskos game is trained to guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower, also cream or deep purple fall to benchmark - the spectacular musicality of everyone never gets to the end in itself, but is always the band subordinates.

Second reference to the collection 'Strictly Ballroom', by Tring International, dedicated to different styles of ballroom dancing, in this issue dedicated to the music of samba. Francisco Montaro Ensemble features a repertoire of ten classics of the genre.

One of the more woefully underappreciated blues artists of the last three decades, Taj Mahal has consistently made great records that combine his extensive knowledge of roots music with a refreshingly non-elitist sensibility. Giant Step/De Ole Folks At Home from 1969 was Taj's commercial high point, and it's easy to understand why. The first half of the album (originally released as a two-record set) features Taj and band blending rock, pop and blues on songs like "Take a Giant Step," "Give Your Woman What She Wants" and "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl." The second half is more laid-back and down-home, with Taj essaying solo renditions of "Fishing Blues," "Stagger Lee" and "Light Rain Blues" on banjo, harmonica and acoustic guitar. The most effortlessly enjoyable record of an effortlessly enjoyable career.
