The band’s members consist of guitarists Dan Donegan and Jeremy Jayson, vocalist Dan Chandler, bassist Sean Corcoran, and Mike Wengren on drums. Fight or Flight released their debut single, “First of the Last,” on May 21, 2013. Fight or Flight will release its debut album, A Life By Design? via Warner Bros. Records on July 23, 2013.
Sombres Forêts is back with its third album, who sees the band take on a more atmospheric and introspective approach. By incorporating some Miserere Luminis ADN into his solo project, Annatar offers an album that is rich in atmosphere and textures, where dissonant and droning guitars go side-to-side with the acoustic parts and tortured vocals that have become the group’s trademarks over the years. A journey to dark and stormy lands!
July 22nd birthday celebrated Selena Gomez. And after that, she released a video, starring her friends. The song was included in Selena's latest album, "Stars Dance"
Taken from two earlier Gillespie works, 1951's "The Champ" and his four songs off 1950s "Prestige 1st Sessions, Vol. 3", "Ooh-Shoo-Be-Doo-Bee" is a nice portrait of the trumpeter playing some of what would later become his most famous works ("Tin Tin Deo," "Birk's Works") as well as some interpretations of classics like "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and "Caravan" and even some lesser-known songs ("The Bluest Blues," "Time on My Hands"). If you already own either of the original two albums, especially "The Champ", there's not much point in buying "Ooh-Shoo-Be-Doo-Bee"; otherwise, it makes a nice addition to a Diz collection.Review by Marisa Brown
Miles Davis's famous mid-1960s quintet, featuring saxophonist Wayne Shorter and pianist Herbie Hancock, was intact until just a few weeks before his new, electric ensemble recorded "In a Silent Way". Legendary as a kind of line in the sand challenging jazz fans during the ascendance of electric, psychedelic rock, "In a Silent Way" hinted at the repetitive polyrhythms Davis would employ throughout the early 1970s. It also partook generously of electric piano and bass and rekindled the tonal palette that Davis had explored famously with Kind of Blue. But "In a Silent Way" remains a clearly electric jazz record, part ambient color exploration, part rock-inflected energy and vibe, and part outright maverick creativity. Davis takes many long, breathy solos, and they glisten in a burnished blue against his new group's strange admixture of musical moods.
Second Album was the second album released by British rock group Curved Air. It reached No. 11 in the UK Charts on 9 October 1971, and "Back Street Luv" became a UK No. 4 chart hit on 7 August 1971.
Few people think of Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Walton as composers of chamber music; nevertheless, the small number of works of this classification which they published is highly characteristic, personal and significant.
Finding the Sacred Heart: Live in Philly 1986 captures Dio's heavy metal antics in full swing in a live performance at the Spectrum in Philadelphia on June 17, 1986. Although Dio are touring to promote the mediocre Sacred Heart album, the show is a classic of the era, full of lasers, explosives, and a massive robotic dragon overlooking the stage.
