    Melodic Death/Power Metal

Recorded in Denmark’s Hansen Studios with Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Heaven Shall Burn), Through Our Darkest Days marks the seventh studio album from the quartet. Described as “the best blend of melody, tight tech rhythm work, and ferocious energetic death thrash” (Metal-Observer) while also being praised as “one of the band’s catchiest albums” (New Noise), the album is scheduled for release in Europe on July 26 via NoiseArt Records and in North America on July 30 via Prosthetic Records.

    Sludge/Post-Metal

Defining a new sense of heaviness and musical introspection with their sound, the Massachusetts based doom/crust metal band have created another work of epic wonders. Much darker and bleak than anything the band have previously released, MORNE strip their sound a bit while at the same time building on something atmospherically colossal and vast. The sounds of barren desolate wastelands where the search for hope lies distant… but not entirely non-existent.

The CD under review is a reprint of two early LPs published. The first was the initial album of the group, 'The Brothers Four' (1960) and the third of his career, 'BMOC (Best Music On / Off Campus)' (1961).

Like Julian Lennon before him, James McCartney bears the cross of one of the most storied surnames of the 20th century and, along with it, a considerable musical resemblance to his Beatle father. That is where many of the comparisons end. Lennon launched his career early, at a time when many grieving Beatles fans were too eager to see him as an heir to the throne, but McCartney waited to release his debut Me until the summer of 2013, when he was firmly in his mid-thirties.

"Music from "The Elder" is the 9th studio album released by the American band Kiss. It was an attempt on the part of the group to establish Kiss as credible artists, and also to reverse the trend of declining album sales and commercial popularity that had begun in 1979. Instead, the album further served to alienate the group's fan base and represents the lowest point commercially for the group.
"Music from "The Elder" was the last Kiss album on which lead guitarist Ace Frehley appeared until the 1996 Reunion Tour. Frehley, disgruntled with the band's creative direction as well as with the production of Bob Ezrin, stopped actively participating in the Kiss operation by early 1982, and officially quit the group by November that same year.

Risk was german band originally known as Faithful Breath, which was formed as early as 1967 – playing Progressive rock, Hard Rock, earlier on their career, and later on moving into more traditional heavy metal fields with quite typical german sound. The band took a turn into different metal fields after their “Skol” album released at 1985, last one under the flag of “Faithful Breath”, and changed their name to Risk. The Daily Horror News was a debut under the Risk name…
